Seated atop the world is Baphomet – an enigmatic figure surrounded by symbolism associated with the occult, opposing forces and hidden knowledge. With its striking white finish and intricate detailing, The Dark Lord makes a distinctive decorative piece for admirers of Gothic and esoteric aesthetics.
Baphomet sits cross-legged upon a globe of the Earth positioned at the centre of a pentagram. The legs end in cloven hooves, while large wings spread behind the body. A triple-horned goat's head stares directly forwards, giving the figure a powerful, almost ceremonial presence.
The right arm is raised in a symbolic gesture with the word SOLVE inscribed on the forearm, while the left arm stretches downwards and bears the word COACULA. The composition is completed by the staff of Asclepius. Throughout history, Baphomet has become a recognisable symbol within occult iconography, associated with free thought and forbidden knowledge.
Cast in resin and carefully hand-painted, the white finish accentuates the numerous sculpted details and symbolism of this unusual collectible.
