Launch a journey of discovery with the LEGO® Technic NASA Artemis Space Launch System Rocket, an educational LEGO set designed for children, aspiring engineers, and space enthusiasts. Developed in collaboration with NASA and ESA, this impressive LEGO set allows builders to recreate the Artemis Space Launch System (SLS), the powerful rocket designed to carry the Orion spacecraft on future lunar missions. Combining STEM learning, creative building, and authentic engineering details, it offers an engaging introduction to modern space exploration.
The centerpiece of the set is a highly detailed model of the Artemis SLS rocket, faithfully capturing the appearance of the real launch vehicle. Builders can explore the rocket’s different stages and learn how modern launch systems operate. Blue flame elements and realistic structural details enhance the display value while creating the excitement of a real rocket launch.
One of the most exciting features is the working launch-separation mechanism. By turning a hand crank, builders can recreate the rocket’s three-stage separation sequence. The solid rocket boosters detach first, followed by the core stage, and finally the upper stage separates with the Orion spacecraft, engine module, and launch abort system. This interactive function provides a fun and educational demonstration of real-world aerospace engineering.
The set also includes four astronaut nanofigures and an information display panel that adds educational and collectible value. Children can create their own space missions, learn about lunar exploration, and imagine future journeys beyond Earth. Thanks to its impressive height and realistic appearance, the completed rocket also makes a striking display model for any bedroom, classroom, or LEGO space collection.
Using the LEGO® Builder app, builders can zoom in, rotate the model in 3D, and track their progress throughout the building process. With 632 pieces, this LEGO set delivers a rewarding building experience and makes an excellent gift for children aged 9 and up who are fascinated by science, engineering, and space exploration. Once completed, it becomes an inspiring display model celebrating the future of human spaceflight.
